FAQ

What can I expect from a cooking class?

The first time you cook with us, we ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes early so that you can fill out our waiver, if you have not already done so upon regristration. We welcome you to enjoy a drink at our full-service bar while you wait for class to start. Please make sure to wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear. We suggest no open toe shoes, and something you won’t mind standing and walking in for a few hours.

Can I observe a class?

Absolutely! We have a full service bar with plenty of sitting both inside the school and on the perimeter inside the Stanley Marketplace. You and your friends are totally welcome to stop in during normal business hours and hang out, while watching a class and taking in some free smells. The only exception is during our private events, so just make sure to check our calendar or call ahead of time.

What about dietary restrictions?

Our chefs have lots of experience tailoring cuisines to fit all varieties of food allergies and dietary restrictions. We will absolutely make our best effort to work with you and your guests to ensure the menu has options for everyone. Due to the broad nature of our cuisines, however, it might not be possible to adjust every menu we offer. We do ask that you contact us ahead of time before booking so we can discuss your needs, and then also make a note at the time of your booking so we’ll be prepared when you arrive.

Do you offer cooking classes for kids?

Yes! We believe introducing kids to the joys of cooking at an early age is a great way to teach proper kitchen safety and expose them to a wide variety of cuisines. To that end, we currently have two flavors of kids cooking classes.

First, our Cooking with Your Kids Classes are designed to be a single day cooking class for both you and your 6-9 year old child. You’ll work together to prepare your meal, learning a variety of techniques along the way. These classes are offered throughout the year, typically on weekends to accommodate busy family schedules.

Second, our Junior Chef Camps and Classes are designed to be a more in depth cooking experience for your 10-13 year old child. Drop them off with us for a few hours where they will learn not just proper techniques and skills, but will come home with delicious recipes to prepare for the whole family.

For ages 14-18 years old, they are more than welcome to join guardians in the kitchen for any of our classes. If there are any alcoholic beverage pairings, then they are able to enjoy sparkling water, sodas, or mocktails included with their ticket reservation.

Can you host my next party?

Of course! We think our cooking school is the perfect place for special events such as birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, team building, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and any other occasion worth remembering. Please contact us to inquire about availability and pricing.

Due to the high demand of events and classes – we require a 50% deposit to secure the date of your event. We highly recommend that we plan your special occasion at least two months prior to your date. Please note that Create does not hold dates without the 50% deposit.
